  29.      1. Extract the ChessMAGIC! archive contents into your newly 
  30.         defined and empty Cmagic system directory.  
  31.         
  32.         If you are upgrading from a previous Cmagic version, move on to 
  33.         the README.2ND instructions.

  39.      2. Due to its program size, CMSED.EXE has been split into three 
  40.         modules and is distributed in three archives.
  41.         
  42.         Extract these archive file members into a work area, then run 
  43.         INSTALL.bat to compile the CMSED.EXE file.  Once the 
  44.         compilation is completed, the modules (CMSED330.00?) will be
  45.         deleted from your disk.
  46.  
  47.      3. Place the CMSED files in the the Cmagic system directory.  
  48.         Follow the CMSED.DOC "installation" section for optional file 
  49.         placement and customization. 
  50.     
  51.      4. RUN CMSED.EXE NOW! 
  52.     
  53.         The first two screens are where registration information is
  54.         entered.  For unregistered use, simply hit <ESC> to continue.
  55.         Registration and general information is available by tapping 
  56.         the <F1> key at this screen.  Upon registration, entry of your 
  57.         codes will eliminate the shareware screen that is displayed on 
  58.         program exit. 
  59.  
  60.         CMSED will automatically detect that this is a new ChessMAGIC! 
  61.         system and will properly create ALL of the required databases, 
  62.         automatically!  
  63.     
  64.         In addition to the required databases, CMSED will automatically 
  65.         create the initial RATED and UNRATED area directories.  The 
  66.         unregistered ChessMAGIC! system will only support these two 
  67.         game areas. 
  68.     
  69.      4. If you are a registered ChessMAGIC! sysop, run CMSYS to define
  70.         your BBS name as you wish it to appear in ChessMAGIC!'s main 
  71.         menu.  Choose the "U"tility option, then the "B" option.

  73.      5. You may now run CMAGIC.EXE and experience the BEST chess door 
  74.         you'll ever find!  There's NO OTHER chess door that comes 
  75.         close!
